The number 48 is a sharp reminder of the Palestinian Nakba - Arabic for “catastrophe” - the mass exodus and displacement of Arab families living in Palestine to make way for the newly established State of Israel.  This collaboration on Radio Alhara is comprised of 48 hours of music and content to raise awareness, resources, and solidarity for the Palestinian struggle, and people everywhere with an imperiled existence.

It contains contributions in audio and video format by artists from all across the globe, from Palestine to Europe to all across the Americas.

The 48 hours for Palestine is a call to give what you can to help HEAL Palestine, and to do what you can to help heal humanity.

We chose HEAL Palestine as the benificiary due to their presence on the ground in Gaza, as well as their longstanding committment to Palestinian society. From their site;
