Hi friends.

This May, for the first time I'll be participating in the Five Boro Bike Tour, the country's biggest bike ride. I'll ride 40 miles across the city on my trusty single speed bike. If you know me, you already know how much I love torturing myself on this thing around the city.

Anyway, I want to use my Big Bike Ride as an opportunity to raise funds for a non-profit I really care about: HEAL Palestine. In just the last two years, tens of thousands of children have been killed in Palestine, and many more wounded. Many of these children have lost their entire families, so many that humanitarian workers in Gaza have begun using the acronym WCNSF: wounded child, no surviving family. Children who have no immediate care givers. 

HEAL Palestine is on the ground in Gaza, providing aid, education, and other forms of humanitarian assistance. This includes hot meals and clean water, hygiene kits, and medical assistance. Beyond assistance with basic needs, HEAL also has a mental health program to address the psychological impact of conflict and family loss affecting these children.

My goal is to raise $1,500. I will personally match whatever is raised here myself. So if we reach $1,500, I will throw in $1,500 of my own money. If we somehow end up going beyond $1,500, I'll still match! Thanks for reading! :)
