Your Donation Matters, Help Me Help Them

As the conflict continues to break the hearts of so many people around the world, I had to at least try to help in any way possible. Thus, I will attempt to summit Kilimanjaro for Gaza. It was simply impossible to stay quiet whilst most of the Gazan population was quite literally being forced into famine. I could tell you facts to conceptualize the horrors that are occurring in Gaza but I am sure you have already seen enough.

Where will your money go?

"A hero can be anyone, even a man/woman doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat on a young child's shoulders to let them know that the world hadn't ended". Although we cannot be there to help but an intangible action can be as strong, if not stronger, than a tangible one. You can be that hero who lets those trapped souls know that they have not been abandoned. Your money will go to a starving child, mother, or father who has been put under inhumane conditions.

This August we will be climbing Kilimanjaro while raising funds for HEAL's program to provide food in Gaza. 

A Guardian Article outlines that all Gaza residents have reached a "crisis" stage of hunger, while 50% of them have reached "catastrophic famine". Yet the restrictions on imports of humanitarian needs into Gaza keep getting tighter resulting in more than 25 people killed purely from starvation (Jazeera). Almost all laws and acts like the Rome Statute Act declare this - purposeful imposition of hunger as a war crime, yet the conditions are getting worse and worse. 

With up to 50% of the population under the age of 18, children are disproportionately impacted by the disastrous situation in Gaza.  An entire generation of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip suffers from both physical conditions and life-changing injuries, as well as mental health disorders as a result of desperate living conditions and repeated exposure to war and violence.  Furthered by the lack of food/water which has reportedly caused 50% of the population to suffer from muscle wasting syndrome (where your muscles literally melt away so that your body can use it as fuel).

Kilimanjaro4Gaza is a project that aims to raise funds and awareness of the urgent situation in Gaza by teaming up with HEAL Palestine on the ground which is providing meals to the children who desperately need it in Gaza.
